How to Install Lemo TV on Android TV

Android TV and Google TV power many of today’s smart TVs and streaming boxes. Installing Lemo TV on them is quick: in most cases you only need the Google Play Store and your Lemo IPTV login details.

Compatible devices

This guide works for most devices running Android TV or Google TV, including:

• Smart TVs from Sony, Philips, TCL, Hisense, Sharp and others running Android TV / Google TV.
• Streaming boxes such as Nvidia Shield TV, Xiaomi Mi Box and TV Stick, and Chromecast with Google TV.
• Android TV boxes from other manufacturers.

Menu names can vary slightly between brands, but the steps remain the same.

Before you start

• Connect your device to the internet — Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi is recommended (see the recommended speeds in our FAQ).
• Sign in to your Google account on the device so you can use the Play Store.
• Keep your Lemo IPTV activation details and the name of the recommended player app at hand. Both are sent by our support team on WhatsApp.

Method A — Install the player from Google Play (recommended)

1. Open the Google Play Store from the home screen (on Google TV: Apps → Search for apps).
2. Search for the player app name provided by Lemo IPTV support.
3. Check the publisher name matches the one we gave you, then select Install.
4. Once installed, select Open and go to Sign in to Lemo IPTV.

Method B — Install with Downloader

If our support team tells you the recommended player is not available on Google Play for your device, you can install it with the free Downloader app.

1. Install Downloader (by AFTVnews) from the Google Play Store.
2. Allow it to install apps: open Settings → Apps → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources and enable Downloader.
3. On Google TV, you may first need to enable developer mode: Settings → System → About, then select Android TV OS build seven times.
4. Open Downloader, enter the official code or link sent by our support team, select Go and follow the installation prompts.
5. Delete the installation file when offered to save storage.

Sign in to Lemo IPTV

1. Open the player app.
2. Select the login type matching your details — usually Xtream Codes API or M3U playlist.
3. Enter the server URL, username and password exactly as received. They are case-sensitive.
4. Confirm and wait for live channels, films, series and the TV guide to load.

Optimise your experience

• Prefer a wired connection or 5 GHz Wi-Fi for 4K content.
• Update your system: Settings → System → About → System update.
• Clear the app cache if menus become slow: Settings → Apps → select the player → Clear cache.
• Turn off energy-saving modes that put the device to sleep during playback.
• Choose the right player engine in the app settings if a channel won’t play — many players offer several options.

Troubleshooting

The app doesn’t appear in Google Play

Some apps are only listed for certain devices or countries. Tell us your TV or box model on WhatsApp and we will suggest the right alternative.

Channels load but don’t play

Restart the device and router, check your speed, and make sure you are not using more simultaneous connections than your plan allows.

The TV guide is empty

Open the player settings and refresh or reload the EPG. It can take a few minutes to fully download.
